Custom hours

Shift templates live in Settings → Working hours.

Kind Use it for
Fixed One window, e.g. 09:00–17:00. Lateness is measured from the start, after the grace period.
Flexible A wide window plus core hours (e.g. 10:00–14:00) and a daily target (e.g. 8 h). Lateness is measured from the start of core hours.
Split Two or more blocks, e.g. 08:00–12:00 and 16:00–20:00.
Overnight The end time is earlier than the start, e.g. 22:00–06:00. The whole shift counts toward the day it started.
Open A target number of hours only, with no clock window.

Each template also sets:

  • the break (minutes, deducted from scheduled time)
  • the grace period
  • the working days. The default is Sunday to Thursday.

Use Ramadan preset (6h) to fill in a 10:00–16:00 day. Assign it to the company with Ramadan's start and end dates.

Assignments

Assign a shift to the company, a site, a department or an employee, optionally with dates. The most specific assignment wins (see Geofencing).

How days are calculated

  • Worked: time between check-in and check-out, minus breaks.
  • Late: minutes after the start (or after core start), counted only when beyond the grace period.
  • Overtime: time worked beyond the scheduled minutes. On non-working days, all time worked is overtime.
